Ergonomic Dogs provides dog training classes, workshops, seminars, one-to-one training, behaviour consultations and online coaching. By booking or attending any Ergonomic Dogs service you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Responsibility for Your Dog

You remain responsible for the conduct, safety and welfare of your dog at all times. Dogs must remain on lead unless instructed otherwise by an Ergonomic Dogs instructor. Please respect the space of other dogs and handlers and never allow your dog to approach another dog or person without permission. Owners remain legally responsible for any injury, damage or loss caused by their dog.

2. Behaviour & Welfare

If your dog becomes overwhelmed, anxious or reactive during training we will work with you using appropriate management strategies. This may include increasing distance, changing exercises or recommending one-to-one support. Ergonomic Dogs reserves the right to refuse entry to any group sessions where a dog’s behaviour presents an unacceptable safety risk.

Dogs may be required to remain in a vehicle during group classes or workshops, you remain responsible for your dog’s welfare while confined to the vehicle, owners are to ensure that they

• provide ventilation

• ensure water is available

• ensure the dog is secure, safe and kept cool in warmer weather

Ergonomic dogs reserve the right to ask owners to leave if animal welfare is compromised.

3. Children

Children are welcome where appropriate but must remain under the direct supervision of a responsible adult at all times. 

4. Health Requirements

Please do not attend if your dog is suffering from a contagious illness or is otherwise unfit to participate. Clients must disclose any medical conditions, behavioural history, bite history or veterinary restrictions before attending. Clients are encouraged to ensure dogs are vaccinated or titer tested for infectious diseases ahead of training. 

5. Fees & Payment

Full payment is required to secure a booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. Cancellations by You

Cancellations made at least 14 days before the event may be refunded less any administration fee of £20. Cancellations within 14 days are normally non-refundable unless your place can be filled. Missed sessions, late arrivals and non-attendance are not refundable. Sessions within packages are limited to the timeframe stated upon booking, unused sessions will not be refunded or credited. 

7. Cancellations by Ergonomic Dogs

If Ergonomic Dogs cancels a class, workshop, seminar or appointment due to illness, venue closure or circumstances beyond our control, clients will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

8. Training Methods

Ergonomic Dogs uses ethical, welfare-focused and evidence-based training methods. Equipment use or handling likely to cause unnecessary pain, fear or intimidation may not be permitted during training.

9. Training Guarantee

Ergonomic Dogs guarantees that every client will receive professional instruction, honest advice and an individualised approach based upon current best practice. However, no guarantee can be made regarding specific behavioural or training outcomes. Success depends upon factors including genetics, health, previous learning, environment and predominantly the handler’s consistency in applying the training outside of sessions. By booking with Ergonomic Dogs clients agree to complete training set outside of sessions and follow the given plan to ensure progress is made. 

10. Limitation of Liability

Attendance is entirely at your own risk. Ergonomic Dogs accepts no liability for injury, illness, loss or damage except where required by law.

11. Veterinary Emergencies

If emergency veterinary treatment becomes necessary and you cannot be contacted, Ergonomic Dogs may seek veterinary assistance on your behalf. All associated costs remain your responsibility.

12. Photography & Social Media

Photographs and videos may be taken for educational or promotional purposes. Please advise us before the session if you do not wish you or your dog to appear – this will not affect attendance. 

13. Intellectual Property

All training plans, presentations, handouts, videos and other materials remain the intellectual property of Ergonomic Dogs and may not be copied, shared or reproduced without written permission.

14. Insurance

Ergonomic Dogs maintains appropriate public liability insurance. Owners remain legally responsible for their dogs at all times.

15. Privacy Policy

Ergonomic Dogs collects only the information necessary to deliver its services, administer bookings and comply with legal obligations. Personal information is processed in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Clients may request access, correction or deletion of their personal data where applicable.

16. Website Disclaimer

Information provided by Ergonomic Dogs is for educational purposes and does not replace professional veterinary advice. Behavioural recommendations should not be used as a substitute for veterinary diagnosis where illness or pain is suspected.
